Acceptable Use Policy

What you can and cannot run on the VPSRely network.

Last updated:

01The short version

Do not use your server to harm other people, other networks or us. If we get a credible report that you have, we act on it.

02What is not allowed

You must not use a server to:

  • host, send or link to illegal content, including child sexual abuse material, which we report to the authorities without notice
  • send spam or unsolicited bulk email, or run an open mail relay
  • host phishing pages, malware, botnet command servers or fraud
  • launch denial-of-service attacks, or scan, probe or brute-force systems you do not own
  • infringe copyright, trademarks or other rights
  • run open proxies, or anonymity exit nodes unless we have agreed in writing
  • mine cryptocurrency, unless your plan says it is allowed

03Fair use of resources

vCPU and RAM are dedicated to your server. Network and disk are shared, so sustained use that slows other customers is not allowed. If that happens we will contact you first and ask you to reduce it.

04How we handle reports

Report abuse on the report abuse page. We read each report, check the evidence and contact the customer. Most issues end when the customer fixes them.

We may suspend a server straight away when the harm is serious or ongoing, for example an active attack or illegal content.

05Consequences

Breaking this policy can lead to a warning, suspension or termination. Where a server is terminated for a serious breach, we do not give a refund.
